Life Design Chiropractic is closed in MN as of February 2025,. Dr. Jenny has moved to MT March of 2025.
Doctor Jenny specializes in the Webster technique. It is a specific analysis and adjustment that allows for optimal pelvic alignment and positioning with adjustments and light manual therapy for the surrounding tissues that can be affected during pregnancy. Dr. Jenny utilizes this exact technique on every pregnant patient. Webster analysis and technique helps increase the function of the nervous system and body and in turn can:
decrease sciatica symptoms
decrease low back discomfort
decrease dystocia (abnormal, slow or difficult childbirth)
decrease labor pain and time of labor
decrease interventions needed during labor and delivery (forceps, epidurals, vacuum etc)
improve quality of life
increase sleep and comfort
increase pelvis positioning
Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy can be essential to decrease any intrauterine constraint and decrease round ligament tension . Dr. Jenny has had many patients come in for care due to a variety of symptoms while pregnant. Several patients have requested care for a "breech positioned baby." Chiropractor do not "treat" the fetus or "turn babies." However, with specific sacral adjustments chiro care will improve the mothers pelvic positioning and in result creates better body balance and decreased tension. Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper pelvis positioning and in doing so naturally allows a fetus to be in the best position. Mothers will commonly report after a few adjustments "the baby turned and went head down. " These results are all accomplished by restoring proper alignment and decreasing restrictions in the mother. Chiropractic care during pregnancy also allows expecting mothers to be more comfortable, improve her quality of life and can also better prepare her for labor and delivery.
IASTM or FAKTR soft tissue treatment for a sprain and strain injury can be essential for optimal healing.
Soft tissue therapy for the spine after a motor vehicle accident is crucial for a patient who has suffered a whiplash or MVA injury. The instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM) is completed with with a specific FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab) protocol that allows for increased blood flow, cellular regeneration and decreased myofascial adhesions. The IASTM helps restore the tissue back to normal quicker.
